It sells new and used Volkswagen, Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge (commercial vehicles), Audi and Škoda vehicles. Services include a workshop with maintenance and service concepts, parts and accessories, leasing and financing offers through partner banks and leasing companies, and insurance brokerage. A fleet and corporate customer service handles fleet management for business customers. The company was founded in 1932 by Julius Franken as a repair workshop representing Hanomag and Tempo commercial vehicles, became a Volkswagen contract workshop and later a Volkswagen dealer, and added Audi to its range in 1974. Locations include the city-centre main site on Hohe Straße, a branch in Herringen and a commercial vehicle centre on Richard-Wagner-Straße. The business is run in its third generation as a family business. In 2019 it was certified as a centre of competence for electric vehicles, and in 2021 it opened a high-voltage charging park in the city centre.
