Autohaus Schade
Meißen, Germany
About
Founded in 1976, Autohaus Schade is an authorized car dealer based in Meißen, Germany selling Citroën.
Autohaus Schade is a family-run automotive business founded in 1976 by Wolfgang Schade as a repair workshop for Simson motorcycles in the former GDR. After German reunification it became a free workshop and car rental company, and in 1992 it moved into a new workshop and showroom. In 1991 it signed a dealer agreement with Nissan, which ended in 2014. The company then focused on Citroën, with an additional Citroën dealer contract added in 2007 and a Citroën branch in Großenhain taken over in February 2020. The business sells mainly one-year-old and young used Citroën vehicles and also offers used cars of other manufacturers where possible. Its services include workshop repairs of all brands, accident repair, tire and wheel services with mobile pickup in the Meißen district, vehicle air conditioning maintenance, and rental of cars, vans and camper vans, including dog-friendly motorhomes. The company operates locations in Meißen and Großenhain, and it has trained apprentices since its founding, receiving the 2019 Ausbildungspreis in Saxony. It was also named among the best 1,000 workshops in Germany by Autobild in 2020.
