Founded by John Sharp, the business began as a small lot with one office and a mechanic shop and has grown to occupy an entire city block, including a mechanics bay, a detail shop and multiple offices. The dealership sells pre-owned trucks, vans and SUVs, including work trucks and family vans, and offers financing, trade-ins and extended warranty protection plans. The company states that over 50 percent of its business comes from repeat and referral customers, that it has received the Quality Dealer Award for Colorado twice, and that it has been operating since 1976. In 2006 it launched The Sharpest Rides, led by Kevin Sharp, the second generation of the Sharp family. The dealership is a member of the Greater Denver Chamber of Commerce and the National and Colorado chapters of the Independent Automobile Dealers Association and supports local charities including youth coaching programs and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
