Rousseaus RV Center is a family-owned and operated RV dealership established in 1976 by Leo Rousseau. Founded on the principle of landing in the right place at the right time, the business initially started as a rental operation from home while Leo maintained full-time employment at the local phone company. In 1982, Leo relocated the operation to its current location at 150 Bedford Street, constructing a 40 by 60 foot steel building. By the early 1990s, the dealership had expanded significantly with four additional service bays. Ownership passed to David Rousseau in 2024 following Leo's passing at age 92. The dealership sells new and pre-owned travel trailers, pop-up campers, and 5th wheels from leading manufacturers including Rockwood, Forest River, Dutchmen, Grand Design, Gulf Stream, Heartland, and nuCamp. It operates as the longest-running continuous Rockwood dealer in the northeast. Rousseaus RV Center provides comprehensive services including a full-service repair and maintenance department, an extensive parts and accessories division, RV rental services, secure storage, and a dump station and propane filling station for customer convenience. The business specializes in lightweight RVs and serves the greater Boston, Bridgewater, Plymouth, Fall River, and New Bedford areas.
