The Zimpel & Franke Gruppe is a family of automotive dealerships in the Westsachsen and Erzgebirge region of Germany. Its roots go back more than sixty years to the workshops of the founders Dietmar Zimpel and Eberhard Franke, who initially worked on MZ, Barkas and Multicar vehicles. The companies merged into the Zimpel & Franke GmbH group in 2000, and the group has since expanded across the region. The group sells new and used vehicles from eight brands under sales and service agreements, with Opel as the main brand. Its other brands include Hyundai, Suzuki, Subaru, Peugeot, Citroën, Leapmotor, Isuzu, Ligier and others. Services include workshop and maintenance work, bodywork and paint (Lackiererei), glass service, MOT inspections, parts supply from a central parts warehouse, vehicle rental, financing, leasing and insurance advice, and trade-in. A motorhome and caravan division operates in Meerane and Schneeberg, offering Challenger and Sterckeman models for sale and rental. The group reports more than 250 employees across 11 locations. Its managing directors are Mario Ebert and Volkmar Stöcker.
