LocateRisk is a German cybersecurity company based in Darmstadt that provides an External Attack Surface Management platform. The SaaS solution assesses, monitors and helps reduce the security risks visible from outside an organisation's IT infrastructure, using standardised KPIs to produce a security rating. Results are presented as a descriptive management report and a technical vulnerability dashboard with prioritised recommendations. The platform serves organisations of all sizes, including SMEs, critical infrastructure operators, ministries and municipalities, as well as insurers, fund managers and M&A brokers assessing third-party IT risk. The company was founded from a 2018 hackathon of Sparkassen Versicherung, where its concept won first place. It cooperates with Fraunhofer SIT and TU Darmstadt, is a member of the BSI Alliance for Cyber Security, and holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.
