The Nemzeti Kiberbiztonsági Intézet (NKI, National Cyber Security Institute) is part of the Nemzetbiztonsági Szakszolgálat (NBSZ, National Security Service) in Hungary. It serves as Hungary's national cybersecurity authority and national CSIRT, providing public-sector and critical-infrastructure organisations with incident reporting and coordination, incident investigation and digital forensics, free automated vulnerability assessment, threat intelligence and early warning, honeypot-based threat detection, managed security governance services, security audits and regulatory supervision under the Hungarian Cybersecurity Act and NIS2, and security awareness campaigns. It also represents Hungary in ENISA, the NIS Cooperation Group, the EU CSIRTs Network and CyCLONe, and organises national cyber exercises and ethical hacking competitions.
