BIOGEST is an international manufacturer of biogas and biomethane plants, headquartered in Vienna, Austria, with subsidiaries and branch offices in France, Italy, Romania, Serbia, the Czech Republic, the UK, the USA and Australia. Founded in 1989 as a wastewater treatment company, it has since completed more than 200 biogas and biomethane projects. The company offers a full-service model covering project development, co-investment, turnkey construction, operation and maintenance, and repowering of existing plants. Its offering includes standard-module digester plants and a large tank solution developed for large dairies. Feedstocks include cattle manure, agricultural residues and industrial by-products. Its own operation business is run through the sister brand BIOP. The company reports serving dairy farm projects, including a 529 Nm3/h dairy farm project in Idaho, and a plant in France that uses manure from more than 110 dairy farms.
