CASEi is a dairy industry consulting company founded in 2007 on the initiative of the agricultural services of the cantons of Fribourg, Bern and Neuchâtel. Its advisers work mainly with artisan cheesemakers, supporting production and quality management for protected designations such as Gruyère AOP, Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP, Tête de Moine AOP and Emmental AOP. Services include cheese dairy advisory, rennet control (contrôle des présures) for alpine dairies, milk production advisory for farms, and laboratory analyses, with sampling carried out during cheese dairy visits. The company has its head office at Grangeneuve, with branches at Inforama La Rütti in Zollikofen (Bern) and at Cernier (Neuchâtel). It works with the Fribourg agri-food laboratory (LAAF) and holds regular training courses for alpine cheesemakers.
