Halter
Auckland, New Zealand
About
Halter is a dairy industry manufacturer based in Auckland, New Zealand selling farm equipment & herd tech, automation & controls.
Halter is a New Zealand company that makes solar-powered virtual fencing collars and a companion app for pasture-based dairy and beef farms. The system uses sound and vibration cues to move cows between breaks and to the milking shed, and the app combines this with automatic pasture cover estimates, feed budgeting and demand calculations, daily heat and cycling detection, mating and pregnancy estimates, and calving detection. Halter integrates with drafting gates and herd management systems. Its dairy offering is marketed as Halter for Dairy, and its beef offering uses satellite-enabled collars that require no towers. Team members work across New Zealand, Australia and the United States, and the company is headquartered in Auckland.
