Its portfolio supports dairy products such as cheese, yoghurt, ice cream and milk drinks, as well as bakery, meat, confectionery, baby food and sports nutrition applications. The company runs an applications laboratory and pilot plants to develop tailor-made formulations and scale them up to industrial production, and it offers contract manufacturing for powdered mixtures, stabilizing systems and compounds. Operations are based in Kaltenkirchen, Leezen, Lübeck and Riedlingen in Germany. The company was established in Göffingen in the late 1970s as Dairyfood and later became Lactoprot Deutschland GmbH. It is owner-managed and employs around 220 people. Its milk processing sites include Leezen, which is focused on UHT milk, milk protein and whey processing, and Riedlingen, which produces whey derivatives.
