Founded in 1980, MILMA is a dairy industry manufacturer based in Thiruvananthapuram, India.
MILMA is the trade name of the Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (KCMMF), a three-tier farmer-owned cooperative formed in 1980 as a state adjunct of Operation Flood. Village milk cooperative societies are grouped into three regional unions (TRCMPU, ERCMPU and MRCMPU), which federate at state level. The federation procures, processes and markets milk and milk products across Kerala, and it also produces and sells cattle feed and mineral mixtures for dairy herds through its cattle feed plants. Reported membership is over 10.6 lakh farmers through 3,102 milk cooperatives as of March 2024. Products include UHT and long-life milk, ghee, butter, paneer, ice cream, curd, and cattle feed. The organisation operates on a cooperative model in which farmers own and govern the federation.
