Moorepark Technology Limited is a joint venture company established by Teagasc with shareholders from the Irish dairy and food industry. It is located on the campus of Teagasc Food Research Centre Moorepark in Fermoy, Co. Cork, Ireland, and is formally linked to Teagasc through joint management. The company's core business is renting its modular pilot plant to food companies and public research institutions for product and process development, training and small-scale start-up manufacture. The plant comprises self-contained processing units covering around 5,000 sq. metres, with capabilities in evaporation, spray drying, dry blending and powder canning, membrane filtration, separation, wet processing, fermentation, HTST-UHT heat treatment and drying. Its focus areas include infant milk formula, cheese, bioprocessing and dairy ingredients. It also provides technical advice, analytical and sensory services, and contract research with Teagasc. The company operates to ISO 9002 standards and is accredited to I.S. EN 22000:2018 and FSSC 22000.
