Translait SA is a Swiss family-run company active in dairy co-product valorisation, liquid food logistics and tank cleaning. It produces Protofit, a reconstituted liquid milk for fattening calves, made at Chésopelloz from ingredients concentrated at its Bulle site. The Bulle site also concentrates whey, buttermilk, skim milk and other liquid dairy streams, which feed a range of dairy powders for the food industry, including whey, buttermilk, skim milk, MPC 85 and WPC 80. Translait collects milk and co-products from dairy farms, large dairies and artisan cheesemakers using its own tanker fleet, and transports food-grade liquids in Switzerland and Europe. Its Transclean washing station at Gunzgen provides CIP cleaning and sterilisation of tankers and containers, with ECD cleaning documentation after an SQAS assessment in 2016, and offers an official weighbridge and rapid liquid food analysis. Translait also produces Lactopig, a lactose-based feed for pig fattening.
