Abacus Technology Corporation is an independently owned information technology and communications services firm founded in 1983 by Dennis Yee. It provides IT services, systems engineering, and scientific research and development support, with the majority of its work for the US Department of Defense, including the US Air Force, Army and Space Force. Its defense work includes base communications and telecommunications operations and maintenance, network operations and cybersecurity, cyber configuration management, voice, video and data communications, nuclear command and control support, and intelligence systems sustainment. It also holds contracts with NASA Kennedy Space Center, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Agriculture, the Federal Aviation Administration and other civilian agencies. Abacus is a small business and has served as a subcontractor and mentor-protege partner to larger prime contractors. Its certifications include ISO 9001, ISO 20000, ISO 27001:2013 and CMMI Level 3 for services.
