ACTTM (Agenția de Cercetare pentru Tehnică și Tehnologii Militare) is a Romanian military research and technology agency established in 1998 under the Ministry of National Defence and subordinated to the Armaments Department. It conducts research, design and development, testing and evaluation, microproduction, maintenance and technical specification work for military and security systems in land, air and naval domains. It has contributed to the equipping, testing and modernisation of Romanian Armed Forces equipment, including cryptographic terminals, radar antennas, ammunition, protective equipment and aircraft such as the IAR-99 Șoim and MiG-21 LANCER. The agency is organised into research and innovation centres covering information technologies and communications, weapon systems, CBRN defence and ecology, flight test, naval forces and armaments. It holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and works to NATO AQAP quality publications. ACTTM also participates in European Defence Fund and EDIDP projects.
