About
Andøya Space is a defense maintenance and support provider based in Andenes, Norway working in missiles & munitions, simulation & training.
Andøya Space is a Norwegian aerospace company headquartered on Andøya in northern Norway, with over six decades of operational experience. It builds and launches sounding rockets, operates launch sites in the Arctic, provides drone services, and runs science and education activities. Its subsidiary Andøya Space Defence AS is a fully owned business division focused on test and operational training for defence-related technologies. It conducts end-to-end testing of weapon and sensor systems, live firing exercises and full-scale training exercises, using a large mobile test range. The company also has a history of missile testing, dating back to the Penguin missile. Its civilian sounding rocket and military missile testing use much of the same infrastructure, which is why the company is classed as dual use. Andøya Space works with Rheinmetall Nordic on a letter of intent to enhance European space capabilities.
