About

Founded in 1991, Antennas for Communications is a defense subsystem manufacturer based in Ocala, United States working in communications & satcom, radar & sensors.

Antennas for Communications (AFC), trading as AFC, is a U.S. manufacturer of rigid composite dielectric space frame radomes. Founded in 1991 and based in Ocala, Florida, the company designs and produces radomes from 0.9 m to 33.5 m in diameter. Its products protect radar and satellite communications antenna systems from wind, ice, rain and other environmental conditions. Applications include military strategic and tactical communications (such as MILSTAR, DSCS and SBIRS ground terminals), NOAA/NWS Doppler weather radar, meteorological and NASA installations, and commercial broadcast, telecom and cable systems. AFC offers five dielectric radome technologies (TM, SL, SFC, CLS and THS), a Stealth dual-polarimetric option, and a super-hydrophobic coating (Hydrolam-2000) that meets MIL-STD-810F/G. The company also provides an in-house anechoic chamber for RF measurement, structural analysis by finite element analysis, and installation, training and maintenance services. Its quality management is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
