Aviation and Survival Support AS is a privately owned Norwegian company with a Swedish branch in Uppsala. It sells, distributes, services and supports survival, safety and aviation-related equipment, clothing and services for aviation, maritime, offshore, fire and rescue, and defence customers in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The company began as a supplier of aircraft components, avionics and spare parts to defence and aviation industries, and later shifted its focus to life support. Its defence business includes a framework agreement with the Norwegian Armed Forces for survival suits, a Swedish FMV framework contract for upgrades and supply of single-seat life rafts, and a contract with Survitec to design, manufacture and deliver neck-and-down clothing for F-35 pilots in Norway. It also holds maintenance agreements for life support equipment with the Norwegian submarine force and other operators, and designs and implements its own firefighting coveralls. The company operates as a distributor for several manufacturers while also producing certain garments under its own design.
