blueOASIS is an R&D-driven deep-tech company founded in October 2021 by Guilherme Beleza Vaz, focused on ocean sustainability and maritime security. It combines underwater acoustics, artificial intelligence, digital twins and ocean engineering. Its flagship product, Hydrotwin, is an affordable end-to-end acoustic monitoring system with edge processing, sold to offshore, port, research and aquaculture customers. The company's underwater acoustic surveillance system has been demonstrated during NATO exercises, providing autonomous real-time detection and classification of vessels, submarines and underwater activity for defence operations. Its services include ocean engineering, numerical and CFD modelling, digital twins of the ocean, and custom AI models for marine bioacoustics and vessel detection. Headquartered in Horta, Faial (Azores), with an office in the Netherlands and additional locations in mainland Portugal. The company secured investment from Portugal Ventures, Dexterity and Insight Ventures.
