BM Heros Zrt. is a 100% state-owned Hungarian joint-stock company founded in 2001 by the Ministry of Interior. It designs, builds, repairs and refurbishes firefighting vehicles, water transport vehicles, special body-built vehicles and technical rescue vehicles, including pump-equipped fire engines and rapid response vehicles. The company also produces firefighting equipment components, offers warranty and post-warranty servicing for its vehicles and fire technology products, and performs repair and inspection of civilian vehicles. Its fire engine production began in Hungary in 2016 with a Rába chassis project financed through the Environmental Operational Programme. Since 2022 the company has been owned directly by the National Defence Industry Innovation Zrt. The company operates a plant in Kaposvár.
