It provides modeling and simulation, software engineering, prototyping, test and evaluation, and technology integration for government and industry customers. Its defense work covers air systems and weapons engineering (including guided weapons and munitions), hypersonic test support, radar and infrared sensing, electronic warfare engineering, CBRN and chemical warfare countermeasure research, soldier protection and performance, and military medical and health research. It holds contracts with the US Air Force, Army, Navy, NASA and the Defense Health Agency, and works as a prime contractor on several federal contract vehicles. The company also develops commercial software and life sciences products, several of which were spun out into separate companies. Its facilities include the Huntsville headquarters, an engineering test center in Hollywood, Alabama, a Dayton, Ohio operations center and an Eglin operations office in Florida.
