Croven Crystals is a Whitby, Ontario manufacturer of precision quartz crystal resonators, oscillators and related frequency control and timing products for mission-critical applications. The company develops and manufactures SC, IT, FC and AT-cut crystals up to 300 MHz in cold weld and resistance weld enclosures. Its portfolio includes oven-controlled and phase-locked oscillators, space-grade frequency sources, and Qualified Parts List crystals qualified to MIL-PRF-3098. Products are supplied to defense and commercial customers in the RF, microwave, space and test and measurement markets. Founded in 1954 as W. Gary-Wright Electronics of Canada to assemble crystal products for military communications programs, the company was later renamed Croven Ltd. and subsequently Croven Crystals. It was acquired by Wenzel Associates in 2006 and became part of Quantic Electronics in 2021, when it was rebranded Croven Crystals. The Whitby facility, at 500 Beech Street, is the company's Canadian operation and is subject to Canadian export controls.
