Crown Defence is a Finnish company developing modular, non-kinetic, AI-powered cognitive electronic warfare (EW) systems under the ONYKS brand. Its platform covers electronic support, electronic attack and electronic protection, using multi-domain sensing across RF, acoustic and hyperspectral optical data, with a Neural Engine that classifies threats and recommends responses while the human operator approves any engagement. Selective RF engagement is intended to target hostile signals only while preserving friendly and civilian communications and navigation. Offerings are scaled from man-portable and vehicle-mounted units to fixed and networked deployments, with mesh-connected sensor nodes. A civilian variant, ONYKS Sonic Sense Pro, is aimed at critical infrastructure operators such as airports, energy facilities and ports, and produces no active emissions. The company states it works with armed forces and defence capability organisations, is establishing subsidiaries in the United States and Ukraine, and is owned by its founders, partners and investors.
