Defense Aerosols is a Canadian manufacturer of less lethal oleoresin capsicum (pepper) sprays. It began as Bodyguard Canada LLC, producing bear deterrents and dog repellents for outdoor use, and later expanded to manufacture non-lethal defensive pepper sprays for law enforcement and military use in Canada and internationally. Its law enforcement range includes MK-3, MK-9 and MK-46 sprays and the BodyGuard LE-10, with strength and spray configuration options for agencies. The company also sells civilian bear deterrent and dog repellent products through retail, wholesale and industrial channels, and distributes related safety products such as flares, air horns and BearVault containers. Products are licensed by Health Canada under the PMRA for their civilian uses.
