First Aviation Services Inc. is a provider of repair and overhaul, rotables management and related engineering services to the aviation industry worldwide. Headquartered in Westport, Connecticut, the group was formed in 1995 to acquire National Airmotive Corporation and later grew through the acquisition of Aerospace Products International. Its subsidiaries include Aerospace Turbine Rotables, Piedmont Propulsion Systems, Heliblade International and Aviation Blade Services, which together form its Rotary Wing Group. The group repairs main and tail rotor blades for Sikorsky, Bell, Boeing, Airbus, MD and Leonardo helicopters, including UH-60 Black Hawk rotor hub and blade work for the U.S. Army and rotor blade maintenance for the Colombian Army. It also overhauls propellers, landing gear, pneumatics and other rotables for commercial and military aircraft operators, and holds FAA and EASA repair station approvals.
