Guill Defense, part of the Guill Tool & Engineering Co., Inc. group, is a precision CNC machining manufacturer based in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Since 1962 the company has supplied machined components, assemblies, and tooling to the United States Navy and to commercial customers. Its work centres on Level 1/SUBSAFE and non-level components for U.S. submarines and surface combatants, as well as Nuclear Plant Material and special fittings, valves, and flanges. Guill operates as a direct Prime Contractor for the Navy and holds Supplier Delegated Inspector status with General Dynamics Electric Boat and Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding Newport News. Its capabilities include 5-axis machining centres, wire EDM, turning with live tooling, and ID/OD grinding, supported by in-house inspection, metrology, and rheology testing. The company maintains an extensive library of U.S. Naval submarine drawings and a network of approved suppliers for special processes and turn-key assemblies. Quality is governed by ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certifications from NQA, along with military specifications MIL-I-45208A and MIL-STD-45662A.
