About

Founded in 1992, KHMDL is a defense component supplier based in Bangalore, India working in air systems, space, rugged computing & electronics.

Karnataka Hybrid Micro Devices Limited (KHMDL) is a Bangalore-based manufacturer of thick-film hybrid microcircuits and high-reliability electronic assemblies. Founded in 1992 in partnership with ISRO to make hybrid microcircuits for spacecraft, it set up its manufacturing facility in Electronics City in 1994 and later expanded into electronics manufacturing services, avionics manufacturing and automotive electronics. Its products include hybrid microcircuits, voltage regulators, resistor networks, printed heaters and avionics assemblies. The company states that it has supplied ISRO with over 75,000 HMCs and resistor networks, delivered 45,000 avionics assemblies for aircraft including the Sukhoi Su-30 and Jaguar in partnership with HAL and DARE, and holds line certification for space-grade hybrid devices. Its work is screened to MIL-STD-883 and built to MIL-PRF-38534 Class-H and Class-K equivalent requirements. KHMDL also serves automotive OEMs and tier-1 suppliers, and has branched into medical electronics, solar charge controllers and soil sensors for agriculture.
