Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services (KAMS) is a Norwegian provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for military aircraft and helicopters. Its roots date to 1916, when it was established as part of the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation at Kjeller. It was transformed into a state enterprise in 2011 and was acquired by Kongsberg and Patria in 2019. KAMS performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, overhaul, upgrades, modifications and inspect-repair-as-necessary depot work on several helicopter and fixed-wing platforms, including F-16 phase inspections at a Lockheed Martin approved depot, NH90 support at Bardufoss, and AW101 support together with Leonardo. Its capabilities include component repair, overhaul, modification and testing, with in-house workshops for sheet metal, non-destructive inspection, avionics, engines, metals technology, egress and fuel systems. The company also recycles spare parts. KAMS supplies the Norwegian Armed Forces and other military and civilian organisations, operates sites across Norway, and is expanding into C-130 Hercules and P-8 Poseidon support.
