KONŠTRUKTA Defence, a.s. is a Slovak research, development and manufacturing company for defence systems. It designs, develops, integrates, tests and certifies ground-based and weapon systems, including air defence systems, ammunition, fire control and command systems, electronic systems, and special superstructures on wheeled and tracked vehicle platforms. Its best-known products are the ZUZANA 2 155mm self-propelled howitzer and the EVA M2 66 artillery system, and it supplies 120mm mortar systems and barrels. The company also carries out repair, maintenance and servicing of military equipment, including artillery and Patria BOV 8x8 logistics support, through its service operations in Dubnica nad Váhom and Moldava nad Bodvou. Its specialised testing operation at Lieskovec supports product testing and certification. Originating from the state enterprise KONŠTRUKTA Trenčín, the company was transformed into a joint-stock company in 1996 and later became part of the DMD Group. It is a prime contractor for Patria projects in Slovakia.
