Founded in 1947, MAFELEC is a defense component supplier based in Chimilin, France working in naval systems, land systems & vehicles, air systems.

MAFELEC is a French manufacturer of human-machine interfaces, control and signalling components and custom panels for harsh environments. Founded in 1947 to supply power-switching solutions to the French Navy, the company later expanded into rail, bus and coach, industrial vehicles, energy, industry and aeronautics. Its defence and naval offering covers multi-technology solutions for defence and naval programmes, from preliminary definition through maintenance over 20 to 30 years. Its products have been used in naval programmes such as the Barracuda submarine and in land artillery such as the CAESAR. MAFELEC is part of the MAFELEC TEAM group of nine companies, with roughly 450 staff across the group, including about 230 at MAFELEC. The company has an in-house laboratory for endurance and qualification testing and a design office of around 70 engineers. Around half of group turnover is generated by exports. MAFELEC was part of Schneider Electric from 1998 until it was bought back by its president in 2006.
