MD Electric Group is a full-service electrical contracting organization headquartered in Tacoma, Washington, with a 26-year history as a DoD electrical contractor. Founded in 2000 by Mac Davey as a marine electrical shop serving tugboats and barges in Puget Sound, it has grown into a multi-division operation. Its five divisions are MD Marine Electric, MD Commercial Electric, MD Engineering, MD Electronics and Fail-Safe Electric. MD Marine Electric provides electrical refits, repairs, emergency pierside response, shore power and PA/GA systems for U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, NOAA and commercial vessels. Fail-Safe Electric operates a UL Listed 508A and 698A industrial control panel shop. The company also serves commercial and industrial clients, and holds CAGE code 3FTM8, CMMC Level 2 and a JCP approval. Its workforce is IBEW union-trained and holds federal security clearances.
