O.M.A.R. Technology S.r.l. is an Italian company founded in 1975 that began with the conversion of industrial vehicles and the construction of special bodyworks. Its defense-related activity dates to 1982, when it built the first semi-trailer for helicopter transport at the request of the Carabinieri. The company designs and manufactures patented self-moving electrical trolleys for towing helicopters, which it states it has supplied in more than 1000 units to military air forces, state helicopter departments and private customers. It also builds medical shelters and field hospitals since 1984, including heli-transportable expandable containers with operating theatres and intensive care units, deployed by the Italian Armed Forces and Civil Protection and used in UN and NATO peacekeeping missions. Its product range also includes logistics containers and helicopter ground support equipment. The company states its products are tested at the Military Technical Centre and that it holds a NATO CAGE code. It also rents operating theatres, currently only on the Italian market.
