Odense Maritime Technology

Founded in 2010, Odense Maritime Technology is a defense prime contractor based in Odense C, Denmark working in naval systems.

Odense Maritime Technology (OMT) is a Danish designer of naval ships, ship factories and naval platforms. The company was established in 2010 as a carve-out from the A.P. Moller Maersk shipyard, Odense Steel Shipyard. OMT provides modern, adaptable and cost-effective vessels for the defence of Denmark, NATO countries and allies, covering the full ship life cycle from early design through production and in-service support. Its O1 series of multi-role patrol vessels can be configured for coast guard, naval and Arctic roles. OMT has taken part in international naval programmes, including the Multi-Role Combat Vessel for Singapore, the Royal Navy T31 frigate, the Arrowhead 140 frigate programmes in Poland and Indonesia, and the Danish Patrol Vessels consortium for the Royal Danish Navy. The company also works on civilian maritime projects, such as green ferry solutions for Danish islands, and provides maritime consulting through its Valcon partnership. Its quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and NATO AQAP 2110, and its information security management to ISO 27001:2022.
