Founded in 1987, Piedrafita Systems is a defense subsystem manufacturer based in Paracuellos de Jarama, Spain working in land systems & vehicles.

Piedrafita Systems is the engineering core of the Piedrafita Group, a Spanish small and medium-sized enterprise founded in 1987 as a motorsport design and engineering company. Since the first defence collaboration in 1995, when it instrumented a prototype of the armoured Pizarro, the company has shifted its focus to defence land vehicle platforms. It develops, manufactures, validates and certifies mobility solutions for demanding and armoured vehicles, mainly suspension products such as lever-actuated and hollow-shaft rotary dampers, upgrade kits and accessories. The company runs an in-house technical office alongside a prototyping workshop, covering design through to manufacturing and assembly, and works with external partners for specialised areas such as CFD, seals, fluids and bearings. It also offers engineering services to system designers and holds a patented rotary damper. Its activities include on-board testing systems, special hydraulics and power electronics. The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications through the group and received funding from the European Defence Industrial Development Programme. Piedrafita Systems LTD is its UK subsidiary, focused on distribution, sales and after-sales service.
