It works across the data lifecycle, from acquisition and processing of Earth observation data to analysis and distribution, delivering geospatial services, software and ground segment systems. Its activities cover environmental monitoring, Copernicus services, open data and INSPIRE-compliant spatial data infrastructures, space software for Earth observation and exploration missions, and ground segment design for satellite operations. The company is structured into Strategic Business Units including Government & Security, SpaceStream and Business to Business, and it serves a Security and Defence segment. It acts as prime contractor on several work packages of the Italian IRIDE constellation programme and has contributed to missions such as COSMO-SkyMed and AI-eXpress. The company is a Benefit Corporation since 2021 and operates through subsidiaries Planetek Hellas, GAP and GEO-K.
