Pronal is a French manufacturer and designer of flexible and inflatable solutions, founded in 1961 by two textile engineers in northern France. The company designs and produces elastomer and thermoplastic products using hot and vacuum vulcanisation, including flexible fuel tanks, inflatable stoppers and pipe plugs, lifting cushions and bags, trench protection, membrane separators and gas holders. Its applications span agriculture, aerospace, defence, oil and gas, construction, water management, environmental protection and renewable energy. In defence and aviation, Pronal supplies fuel storage and distribution systems, including campaign depots, mobile refuelling units and FARP-type installations, and aircraft lifting cushions. It states that its embarked and additional elastomer fuel tanks are qualified to MIL and TSO standards, and that its fuel tanks are qualified by DCSEA for the French armed forces' fuel service. The company reports customers in more than 50 nations, including foreign armed forces and paramilitary administrations. Pronal has an in-house engineering office and test laboratory, and operates through subsidiaries and branches in France, the United States, Malaysia, Portugal, China and Hong Kong.
