PZL Mielec, operating as Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze Sp. z o.o., is an aircraft manufacturer in Mielec, Poland, owned by Lockheed Martin. It designs, produces, integrates, tests and services military and civil aircraft and helicopters, and is the largest Lockheed Martin production site outside the United States. Its main products are the S-70 Black Hawk helicopter family, including the S-70i and Firehawk variants, and the M28 STOL aircraft family, including the M28B Bryza. The company has produced over 130 S-70 Black Hawk helicopters for customers in 11 countries since 2010, and has delivered M28 aircraft to several export customers. It also manufactures aircraft structures and components for programmes such as the F-16 Block 70/72 and performs maintenance, repair and overhaul of military aircraft under EMAR 145 approval, the first such approval issued end-to-end by the Military Aviation Authority in Poland. Its core capabilities include aircraft structure design and production, system integration, flight and ground testing, quality control, supply chain management and aftermarket support. The company is a founding member of the Dolina Lotnicza aviation cluster. It states that it has over 85 years of experience in aircraft design, manufacturing and assembly.
