SEMANTIC TS is a French engineering office, founded in 1993 and based in Sanary-sur-Mer, specialised in underwater acoustics, bathymetry, environmental monitoring, geospatial data processing and software development. The company operates instrumented survey vessels, drones, kayaks and multibeam and monobeam echo sounders to produce seabed and topo-bathymetric maps, photogrammetric models and biocenosis surveys for public and private clients. Its software activity covers operational and embedded software, signal processing, sonar data acquisition and AI-based seabed classification. On the defence side, the company has carried out work for the French Navy and its oceanographic centre (EPSHOM), and for the DGA's sub-marine studies group, including acoustic tomography studies and the ALHAMBRA noise-measurement telemetry system. It also publishes the RAYSON sonar propagation software for navies, sonar designers and underwater acoustic research centres. Civil and defence markets are both served, with technology transfer from military signal processing to civil data collection since 2010.
