Originally a flax-weaving business that supplied canvas to the British Army during the Second World War, the company moved into high-tech fabrics in the 1990s. It develops and manufactures military clothing and equipment for armed forces, including combat clothing, load-carrying systems, sleeping systems, tentage, camouflage nets, ballistic protection and CBRN protection. Its civilian range covers police uniforms, high-visibility and foul-weather clothing, firefighting suits and workwear.
