TURBOMECANICA S.A. is a Romanian aeronautical company founded in 1975 as a manufacturer of turbine engines and mechanical assemblies for helicopters. It manufactures and repairs engine components, transmissions and assemblies, and supplies new products to the Romanian Ministry of National Defence. Its work covers military helicopter programmes such as the IAR 330 PUMA variants and the IAR 99 Soim, including engine and mechanical-assembly repair and overhaul. Capabilities include CNC machining of casings, discs and gears, welding and heat treatment, surface coatings, non-destructive testing, and in-house test benches for turbojet and turboshaft engines, fuel, oil and hydraulic systems, and gearboxes. The company also supplies civil aerospace parts and assemblies for international programmes including Rolls-Royce Trent engines, CFM engines and Leonardo AW109/AW119 helicopters. Special processes are NADCAP-certified. Its shares are privately held and traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
