UTRS (Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc.) is a technology, engineering and manufacturing firm founded in 1985 as an IT professional placement business. Since 1995 it has served government clients, particularly the U.S. Department of Defense, and now provides engineering, IT, cybersecurity, manufacturing and civil engineering services to federal, state, local government and commercial customers. Its defense work includes weapon systems engineering, automated test program sets for armored and artillery systems, munitions prototyping and energetics support at Picatinny Arsenal, omnibus R&D support for the Army DEVCOM Armaments Center, and network and IT support for Army DoD programs. Its UTRS Advanced Manufacturing division, with facilities in New Jersey, produces precision machined components and electrical harnesses to military and aerospace quality specifications. The company also offers aviation safety management software and services, primarily for commercial airlines and the FAA.
