Gore & Associates, operating its GORE-TEX Professional Fabrics and Gore Protective Fabrics brands, develops and supplies ePTFE-based technical fabrics, laminates, seam-sealing tapes and garment, footwear and glove technologies for personal protective equipment. Its protective fabrics are used by armed forces, special operations units, CBRN responders, police and SWAT teams, firefighters, emergency medical services, electrical utilities and workwear users. Gore sells its fabrics to licensed manufacturers that produce finished garments, footwear and gloves, and provides partner certification, training and quality control for them. Defense-related offerings include military PPE for head-to-toe protection against weather, heat, flame and chemical and biological threats, and defense-specific product lines such as PYRAD, CHEMPAK and WINDSTOPPER garments.
