Weldon Pump, LLC is a designer and manufacturer of fuel, hydraulic, metering, lubrication and thermal management pumps, valves and brushless DC motors for aerospace OEMs, military aviation, general aviation, ground support vehicles, UAVs and industrial customers. Weldon Pump was formed in 1942 as a division of Weldon Tool Company, which had been founded in 1918 as a precision tooling manufacturer. The company was asked by the US Government during World War II to develop alcohol de-icing pumps, and its cam vane pump design was used to de-ice military aircraft including the B-24 Liberator. The company has since become independent of Weldon Tool. Its products include primary and emergency fuel pumps, injection pumps, hydraulic pumps and motors, and FAA PMA replacement pumps for general aviation aircraft. Weldon has supplied military avionics thermal management and supplemental cooling systems, and is developing thermal management pumps for electric and hybrid aircraft battery cooling. Its FAA/EASA/CAA-approved repair station in Oakwood Village, Ohio performs repairs and overhauls on Weldon pump and motor assemblies. The company's engineering group includes FAA and DER designees and operates a live fuel test lab. Its motors are designed for munitions, turrets, cabin and cargo doors, and other aerospace and defense applications.
