About

Founded in 2013, Accorderies de France is a non-profit network based in Paris, France working on community development, poverty & hunger.

Accorderies de France is the national network of Accorderies, French local community associations (loi 1901) that help residents exchange services on the basis of time rather than money. Each Accorderie is a local community where members give and receive services, with each hour of service equal to an hour received regardless of the type of service. The aim is to combat poverty and social isolation, strengthen social ties and promote social mix. The network, created in 2013 by the Fondation Macif, the Secours Catholique and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, supports the creation and development of local Accorderies across France, including accompaniment, training and quality oversight. The concept originated in Quebec in 2002 and was introduced in France in 2011. The site states that the network has entered a judicial liquidation procedure.
