It funds development projects in the Global South, mainly in Bolivia and Nicaragua, by pooling a share of its members' and donors' income, with no administrative deduction. It runs a fair trade shop (Weltladen) and a mobile sales trailer, the Fairmobil. It also works on peace and conflict resolution, supports civil peace services, and runs education and campaigning on global inequality, arms exports and democracy against right-wing extremism in the Trier region. It is politically independent and interdenominational.
