ALADIN

Founded in 1997, ALADIN is a charity based in Hamburg, Germany working on children & youth, mental health, community development.

ALADIN is a recognised, charitable youth welfare provider (Jugendhilfeträger) based in Hamburg, Germany, operating since 1997. Its main work is ambulatory family support under the Hilfen zur Erziehung framework, funded through the Jugendamt, offering counselling, social pedagogical family support and family therapy to families in crisis. Through its programmes it also supports children of mentally ill or emotionally burdened parents via wellengang hamburg, runs the Familiennetzwerk Wandsbek for pregnant women and families with young children, and provides training and consultation for professionals. ALADIN operates several sites in Hamburg, including Wandsbek, Rahlstedt and Bramfeld, and is a non-profit gGmbH that issues donation receipts. Founded as an association in 1997, it changed its legal form to a gGmbH later. Approximately 250 families are supported each year.
