Alive Medical Services (AMS) is a not-for-profit non-governmental organisation founded in 2007 and based in Namuwongo, Kampala, Uganda. It provides comprehensive HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services, including prevention, testing, treatment, care and support, along with related medical services such as maternal and child health, family planning, cervical cancer screening, tuberculosis care, mental health support, and nutrition and WASH programmes. Services are free of charge and available around the clock at its medical centre. AMS serves vulnerable and marginalised clients in Kampala, Mukono, Wakiso and beyond, and also works on advocacy, community outreach, training and research, and strengthening the national health system. The organisation reports having served over one million people since its founding and holds multiple national and international awards.
