Ancoli

Founded in 1983, Ancoli is a non-profit association based in Paris, France working on religion & faith, arts & culture.

Ancoli is the national association of liturgical singers and choirs in France, founded in 1983 by diocesan music leaders. It is governed by a board of volunteer members drawn from the ecclesiastical provinces and promotes liturgical singing that serves the assembly, in line with Vatican II and the Church in France. Its activities include an annual national training course for liturgical singers and choir leaders, masterclasses in choir direction, and the national Ancolies gathering held every four years at Lourdes. It also runs a network of regional and diocesan correspondents, supports the creation and promotion of quality sacred music, and produces resources such as the Jubilus songbook for members. Ancoli is funded by membership dues and receives no public subsidies. Its activities are centred on France.
