Arrowhead Reptile Rescue

About
Founded in 1991, Arrowhead Reptile Rescue is a charity based in United States working on animal welfare, nature & wildlife conservation, education.
Arrowhead Reptile Rescue is a volunteer-run Ohio charitable organisation founded in 1991 and based in the Greater Cincinnati area. It operates a network of wildlife rehabilitators and foster homes that rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted, sick or injured reptiles and amphibians. Its wildlife rehabilitation work includes veterinary care, with the aim of releasing native reptiles back to the wild where possible. Animals that cannot be released are kept in rehabilitation or education programmes with authorised organisations. The organisation adopts out captive reptiles to suitable homes, provides emergency shelter and care during natural disasters through disaster animal response teams, and runs educational presentations for schools, youth groups and professional training for law enforcement and animal control. Its work focuses mainly on southwest Ohio and southeastern Indiana, and it accepts donated animals from elsewhere in the United States. The organisation is funded by donations and adoption fees, which cover food, housing, husbandry and medical care. It is licensed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and approved by the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) for education and reptile rehabilitation.
